The Brief

After initially contacting us through social media, we set about working with our client who was in the process of building a new bakehouse for their expanding company.

After regular contact with the EHA and ourselves, it was decided that Type 8 Heavy Duty 9mm Polyurethane floor screed would be the best solution.

The solution

The notable benefits for a Type 8 Heavy Duty 9mm Polyurethane floor screed system include stability under steam cleaning, high abrasion resistance and very high chemical resistance. hence our decision to use this system with this particular client.
The process

Being a new build in the countryside meant there was very little power to run our larger equipment. The process involved us having to prepare the substrate using a 32 amp floor plane attached to dust extraction units before anchor cutting the whole area and towing out joint detail to all doorways.
The final result

The floor area was applied by hand trowels and installed over 2 days with a further day for the cove detail and expansion joints once the product had sufficiently cured.
