Specification: 780m² Type 3 epoxy coating system, including renovation screeds and H&S demarcations

The Brief

As lockdown restrictions began to ease during the Covid-19 pandemic, Resin Floors Telford Ltd teamed with GEMCO Sales & Service to provide a clean, durable workspace for a local authority VMU including Full workshop coating, an isolated repair and health & safety demarcations.

Floor preparation

Site inspections revealed circa 220m² of rain damaged concrete which would require leveling prior to the final resin application. After some aggressive preparation to expose the substrate, Uzin PE425 was applied to help consolidate the slab before Arturo EP6500 with a full quartz scatter.
The process

Uzin NC170 was specified to ensure a minimum compressive strength of C40 and its fast curing properties allowed us to continue on with the project after 2 days.
Final coating

The whole area was fully coated with Arturo's EP3900 with a second coat of EP3910 incorporating an anti-slip beading before applying our signature hazard/atf lane demarcations.
The final result

By utilising both Uzin Utz Group screeds and Arturo NL | A brand of Uzin Utz Group coatings we can provide a full system warranty under one banner. After some great feedback from the main contractor, we are looking forward to future projects where we are able to showcase our skill set.
